Easter Pilgrimage
This year as part of our Easter celebrations we did something different and took the whole school on a Pilgrimage around 4 of our parish churches.

Different classes at each church retold the Easter story in their own way and led everyone in a reflection and a hymn. It was a great opportunity to link our RE topic of life as a Journey and experience church with the celebration of Easter. The children understood by the end of the day through their experience what a real pilgrimage would have felt like, especially as lots of local people in the villages we visited came out to wish us well, provided refreshments or joined us for part of our walk. I hope you enjoy looking at some of the pictures that Mr Tucker took for us on the way.

Next year we hope to repeat the experience but take the children to visit the remainder of the churches which we serve as a school.
