Celebrating World Book Day
Miserden School celebrated World Book Day in style today with costumes, comfy Pjs, our favourite books and teddys!

The children celebrated their favourite authors and books with a special World Book Day assembly, shared reading, quizzes, games and joining the BBC teach live session broadcast nationwide, as well as cooking ingredients from their favourite books!

Oak Class recreated some tasty 'Mr Twits Hairy Scary Beard Cups' and a delicious Malamander Dip!' The children also completed the World Book Day Book Bonanza Quiz and built lego scenes and characters from their favourite books.

Reading from an early age can help develop literacy, concentration and the ability to focus, as well ignite creativity, spark curiosity and stimulate the imagination. Here at Miserden we believe that the joy of reading is vital to every child's development throughout their education and beyond.

A very well done to all the children, parents and staff for the wonderful costumes and PJs, teddys and books!
