Welcome to Miserden Primary School
Welcome to the homepage of Miserden C of E Primary School, a small, highly regarded and successful school in Gloucestershire built on strong Christian values and excellent relationships between adults and children.
We pride ourselves in offering a first class, all round education. We have high but realistic expectations of each child, recognising each individual's strengths and weaknesses. We value parents, children and staff working together in order for each child to reach their potential. We are a small, friendly school with a strong family feel. The school is located in the village but with wonderful views of fields and trees.
What is Miserden School like? I know I could write pages about the wonderful children, staff and parents but I thought you might like to know what the children think.
“We like playing outside” – Harvey
“We have good work” – Finlay
“If you are stuck the teachers always go through it with you so that you understand it.” – Freya
“It’s really easy to make friends”- Ruby
“Lots of fun stuff to do in Forest School”- Isaac.
I hope this gives you a flavour of our wonderful school. Please feel free to come and see us in action. I know our children will make you very welcome.
Mrs Lucie Mitchell
Acting Head Teacher
Section 89 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 (the 1998 Act) requires every admission authority to determine, before the beginning of the school year, the admission arrangements that are to apply for that year, in accordance with the timetable set out in the School Admission Code 2014 (SAC). Although we have not made any changes to our Admissions Policy in recent years, and do not plan any changes for 2018 either, it also states that schools must fully consult with all interested parties every 7 years, and we are therefore carrying out this consultation process for our draft 2018 Admissions Policy, a copy of which can be found here.
The consultation process commences from Monday 17th October and closes on Monday 12th December. Anyone wishing to comment on the School’s proposed Admissions Policy for 2018 should contact the school 01285 821 463.
